End of the year reflection

I've learned a lot of things at Parkway some good and some bad but overall this was a crazy experience. I've learned not to be so trusting to other people and to be careful of what you say to people. I also learned that being in a one-floor school could be very different than being a t big school. You now everybody and you see them everyday no new people to get to know and that can be very boring. Those where the bad things I learned and the good thing I learned was that once you get to high school studying is not a choice anymore you really have to work hard and study to pass. In many of my classes I thought that I could get through with flying colors but they were very challenging. But sometime that’s one teacher can just be very bias and unfair that you have a bad grade in a class you never got lower than an A and nobody wants to o anything about. We have to take charge and tell them what we want no just complain about because nothing will happen like this school year. I learned to less trusting, better behavior because it can help you in a good way and trying. Some classes I have slacked in when I could have done better but I thought that I could get away with it but I really didn't. But overall it has been a good experience here and I has taught me a lot o f new things about high school what I can do in the future. Parkway has allowed me to inter programs where it preps me for college and we also get to have fun and that program is upward bound so Parkway wasn’t all bad it had some good things.

Cannible in Mami

Ruby Eugene was shot and killed in Miami after eating a man's face off according to cbs news and surveillance. Ruby Eugene was cruising around the causeway when he strip naked tossing his clothes in the street the going over to a homeless man by the name poppo and he ripped his clothes off and proceeded to eat 75% of his face. When the cops got there asked him to step away from the body so they had could free the man but he continued to rip at his face. The cops shot him until he was dead and immediately got him to the hospital when they did surgery on his face but he is still alive. They still don’t what caused Eugene to eat the mans face off but they think that he might have been on a drug called bath salts which can destroy your brain. They later learned that he wasn’t homeless and he spent hours on they beach with the paraders and later resorted to his care where he found that it had broken down. They found a Koran and water bottles, which signaled dehydration, which can be from ecstasy. When I first saw this report I was like this can’t be true but I saw the pictures of Poppo’s face I was so disgusted. I wondering what has this world come to zombies are real now this was crazy story. But if he really was on that drug LSD I think they should make it illegal no because of these type of things.

This I believe

On this I believe podcast a lady talks about how she recently lost her husband and after she came from the funeral and found his shirt in the shed and it brought back so many memories. She remembered how he picked the last of the green beans and took the kids to pick apples and he had to remove it from a hots day labor. He had a heart condition that could be controlled by medicine and he would be able to live to be an old man. It was the last time she saw him lay on the grass and take in the fresh air as he was rested from a hard day. She contiune smelled he shirt to remind her of his scent and one her got as got out the trampled his shirt causing the smell to disappear. She heard from one of her friends they she loved her husband and it made her think that when there has to be a time when you love him past tense  that hurt her and left her stunned. She believes that as long as she is here and the memory of lasts she still has present love she believes that love is stronger that death. In a way I believe that to when my grandfather died it was a very hard death for me  I remember some much of him and I still to day love him.  So many things bring back memories and and that happy days we had and that peace that he lived a good life.

Career Day at Parkway West

We had career day at Parkway and different people came to our class room to explain their jobs and each person had different fields they worked in. The first person to come was Ms. Singleton she was an attorney at a law firm and she explained her background on how she got there. She graduated from Overbrook high school and continues in higher education at Hanuman University and majored in Nursing for 2 yrs but didn't like that field so she moved on to go Rucker university and was ba graduate. She later went to law school for 3yrs and pursued her career in law she became an attorney and she works a lot in mediation. The next person that came in was a commercial banker and he talked about his field and how the banks charges interest and there fees and how his jobs works. The last person that came in was Mr. Hanible he owns his own tax business he started it in 1992 and has it 20 year anniversary. He dropped out of 11th grade to take care of his nephews and as he got older one of the people he knows from his church had gotten his taxes done and he wanted him to check it to make sure that he was cheated out of his money. So after that he liked helping him out so he started a little side business during the tax season to help people but he had gotten hired by a Delaware group he didn’t want them to fire him from the job for having another job. He later was hired at vanguard and was getting paid close 10 85,000 dollars he worked there for awhile then he wanted to finally start that business adding a printing shop for non tax season. I think this was a good experience for us we got a lot of information on unique fields and insight on things we could do in the future.

Afghan girls embracing school

An article found in ny times that is about how girls in Afghanistan are being terrorized for going to school by a group of motorcycled men. The story starts off with a girl who was asked was she going to school by a man on a motorcycle and when she answered yes he sprayed acid on her face causing her to have a massive burn on her face and blurred vision. The man is only been against girls who go to school and there have been 14 other people who have attacked this attack. The police think that this group of men is from the Taliban leaders are terrorizing girls who go to school. The girls started to stop going to school, which was giving them what they wanted. So Mahmood Qadari called the girls parents to a meeting saying that they have to go to school just because people want them no to doesn't mean to give in but to show them that we are strong and we can fight this.  So the girls have been slowly showing up to school more and more each day even thought they know that they might be attacked by those men but they still need there educations. I think that this is just horrible to do to those girls men that country can be so cruel to the women they need an education too. They still feel as thought though they are still more superior but now they have people who care and will represent them. They can continue to be strong in they education and there life they don’t have to be trapped by there won people.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Finally engaged

They have finally made a real commitment other than just having a boyfriend and girlfriend relationship according to philly.com he even designed the engagement ring. There relationship first started to stir up when they shot there first movie together called Mr. &Mrs. Smith. They began seeing each other prior to him being married to Jennifer Aniston he later got a divorce in the year of 2005. From there the Brangelina relationship started with her first adoptions and later had twins of there own. We all wanted to know if they were going to get married but we had our doubts from brad saying things like this " we won't get married and get married until the gays have equal rights" so are thinking that night take years the just comfortable with a noncommited relationship no strings attached except for those kids. I think that brad old age has finally kicked in and he is like im with these women for seven years with seven kids were practically married man mines well tie the knot. Even tho they made it work and Jennifer moved on with her life and is in another relationship I know left a scar on her heart. But im glad they finally realized that Yolo is the motto and that they need to make these vows cause that just wasted 7 year in an uncommitted relationship adopting and having kids that a bad example to people who look up to but I wish there marriage the best

Nicki Minaj Pink Friday Roman Reloaded

Nicki Minaj has released her sophomore album was released April 3, 2012 and it has reached no.1 on billboard top 200. Her album the first week had sold 253,000 copies the first week beating Adele album 21 selling 100,000 her first album. Her first album had sold alot for her first debut album Pink Friday which had gotten no.2 on billboard because of heavy competition during his sells. This album is very different with different type’s genre which is different from her first album Pink Friday. She is the first female rapper to reach no.1 the first week of her second album. This album is very diverse and on many interview she said that this album is freer that her first that she doesn't feel so restricted and now she just doesn't care anymore. Personally I think that this album is very diverse and it has different it has dance tracks, love tracks, her original rapping which gives you more variety. I like her dance records because they are very different and not so serious and they are very catchy like automatic it makes you want to dance and it gives you a happy feeling but another she has on there beez in the trap which makes you feel like you have the power and you that chick.  This album is very unique and it is a step up from her first album and I definitely think that she is going to become a very important person to the hip hop society.

Trayvon Martin

This young teenager by the name of trayvon Martin age 17 was shot and killed by George Zimmmerman on Febuary 26 2012. But Zimmerman was not charged or sent to jail because they he said it was by self defense There was a lot of commotion in everywhere have been destrubed by the overall descion of this incident and then the trayvon movement started. Many people started to protest that this man be arrested and that started wearing hoodie representing what her wore the day he died. It has taken two mnths for zimmerman to finally be charged with secong degree murder by special attorney. Zimmerman has been in hiding since this incident and they have also have a recording of Trayvon pleading for his life on a 911 call a neighbor had called to report the crying. I think that they shouldnt have taken them 2 months for them to finally charge him with second degree murder he did no have a weapon so he was unarmed so he didnt need to pull out a gun. Also they didnt really get into the evidence like phone calls from other people and they didn't even get the quote from his girlfriend that he was on the phone with they were very neglect to evidence they just took his word for it . So they had little faith Trayvon just might have not been any harm to they neighborhood and maybe Zimmerman was just being very paranoid because there was a black person in there nieghborhood.

Kony 2012

Kony 2012 has goon viral on YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter about a gorilla leader in Uganda kidnapping children and using them as killer soldiers. A video was uploaded on YouTube about Kony 2012 explaining the events that are going on in Africa and how kids are being kidnapped from there families. A man named Joseph Kony who has a society called the LRA which is an army of kidnapped children from there homes and put them in an army. Jason Russell made a video on YouTube to inform us about him and how this is the only year that we can really make a difference in sending equipment down there to locate Joseph Kony. Kids have been doing rallies and sending money to the organizations to help make kony famous so the government we continue you to provide money for the cause so we will have the equipment to catch him. I think that he might have stretched the true a little bit because we've known about this be for and her started this in 2003 and it took him 9 years to finally make a heart felt video about the invisible children and this probably could have been prevented awhile ago. Plus you see the founder of this video getting arrested for walking around butt naked and saying weird things so he might have been crazy. So basically I feel for the kids out and Africa and I want them to be helped but I want to make sure the money is really for them.

Snookies Pregnant and engaged

According to http://www.nydailynews.com/gossip/snooki-engaged-pregnant-i-i-ring-gonna-article-1.1033206  http://www.nydailynews.com/gossip/snooki-confirms-pregnant-engaged-jionni-lavalle-jersey-shore-star-give-alcohol-caffeine-article-1.1034500
Has just found out that she is pregnant by boyfriend Jionni Lavalle and now it has been reported that she now engaged. She said that "She knew he was the one and she knew that this is going to come." But everybody is no thrilled with this situation her ex-boyfriend Emilio Masella that for her sake that she has a miscarriage not to be rude or anything and to make sure she gets a maternity test because there can be other fathers. She said at the time that she was not pregnant and that being pregnant is a happy thing and that she's not. She lied about this because she wanted to be months long before she revealed it and she just wasn't ready to tell it yet to the world. She says that she knows that in her past times she has a habit of drinking a lot but she has put an end to alcohol and caffeine she has "different priorities. I congratulate her on the pregnancy but I hope she isn't rushing onto a marriage because she is pregnant that isn't a good reason to do that the marriage might not last long. I pray for her sake that becomes a good mother because that kid will grow up to some hard living conditions she needs to make sure she is straightened up before the baby is born. I hope Jionni is a good father and he supports them and is an active father figure to that family.

Photoshopped or Not?

There an article in NY times and they are talking about photos being photoshopped to such perfection that you start to look like Barbie. So Sethmatlin and his wife have an online magazine and they want to gain legislation to label photos that have been altered that they have to be labeled. They think that they can make people feel like they aren't pretty enough give people complexes. They want to show the natural beauty in a person with out making altercations they don't want to stop creative people from using it. They think now people have been doing major changes from a facelift to changing they body weight people might just want a minor change but they just want the perfect look on the model. I think yeah sometimes they can over do thing and  make that person feel like there bodies aren't enough and that can cause problems.I think they need to realize that we are in the technology age and now that photo have to look in tip top shape giving us a different look. Also i may make that person feel insecure but they have to let them know that they are being photoshopped an they think that it is okay but that can still give them a complex. I don't think this is right because this gives so many models eat disorders so maybe they should start this to start a movement to help models

'I'm a Criminal"

This article is about how a lot of people are criminals and don't think they are. She describes how people have the wrong mind set on criminals and are categorizing them as people getting caught and getting put in jail. She wants us to recognize that even though we don't get caught doing something wrong and not getting caught doesn't mean you’re not a criminal. She states that as a nation we can second-guess how we treat felons as though they are not full citizens. She thinks that we shouldn't waste so much money on jail but instead provide better health care and education. I think in some ways she is correct we should treat them normal because we shouldn't think that we are better. But we still have to be cautious because we know they are capable of so of course we will act different because it we know they have committed a crime without remorse. So her message was for us to treat people how you want to be treated but if that person treats someone like there nothing enough for them to steal from that person or kill them with no heart. Usually people do it in secret and never get caught but usually the people who do want to get caught or is completely stupid to commit that crime. Sometimes people are just looking through one view and sometimes it isn’t always that simple for you to do that.

Ipad

Ipad factories have had bad conditions for workers and they have had over 4 factories blow up because of there conditions. In this article they are talking about the conditions inside of and apple factory and how i hasn't been reconized by apple founders. The workers have to work standing up and there legs swell up and they don't have venilation ducts to eliminate the aluminum so people walk round with little sparkles on the corner of there eyes in hair after they have taken a shower. I think that apple just wants there money and they don't care who they risk to get it. They pick countries that needs good jobs and they know that they need money so they stick horrible jobs with bad working conditions because they know they won't complain about it. I think that they are making good money and they people that work for them for nothing and people need to see what they are doing. I think that they should do a protest so maybe that would threaten apple products into not being sold and that will open there eyes and they might treating the workers differently. Also they workers can decide not to work and hey will lose workers and there products won' be made. People aren't taking good insight to they bad factories because itsn't in America but they are people too and they need money and they shouldn't be treated harshly just because they need money.

Cracking Teenagers' Online Codes

This article appeared in the New York Times and it basically is talking about how teens should have more private time on the internet. Dr.Boyd is a senior researcher at Microsoft and she works a lot of media and she has said that the internet has helped as a child. Her parents had divorced when she was 5 and her father wasn't there a lot and school wasn't the same so she went to the internet. She found out that there are other smart kids out there and this became her counseling. Personally I think there is an upside and a down side to this idea that she is presenting. I think that parents shouldn’t be so over protecting to their kids from seeing things. I think that they should give us certain amount of privacy on the internet because sometimes that can lead to a kid acting out. We want a little privacy and we were born in the technology age so of course most of these things we do would involve the internet. So Facebook keeps us in contact with people and sometimes we might find a boyfriend/girlfriend and express our feelings but that’s how we communicate. But also we kids do need to be considerate of what we go on and gain the respect from the parents do they won’t have to be so over protective. But other than that I think that is a good for kids to do and I’m glad and adult can see that.

Rihanna and Chris Brown together?

Us weekly magazine has said that Rihanna and Chris Brown have been secretly hooking after being forcibly separated after altercation. Sources said that every time Rihanna is in La she goes and visits Chris Brown.  Sources have said that Rihanna wants a rough and her getting into a relationship with Chris might not be such a great idea. Personally I think that they might not be such a good idea because we have seen what Chris Brown can do to her when he becomes angry. But they might have feelings for each other knowing that they were forcibly separated because of the altercation. But it think Chris Brown needs somebody who isn’t in the music business because that won’t have to clash with their work schedules and that means less sight of each other. Rihanna needs somebody to control her mood swings and her roughness without it leading into a brawl ending up on the television the next day. I think that she might be a little crazier than Chris could have him messing up on his career and he doesn’t need another slip up with same person that would look bad on his character. But if they think they can really comes to the conclusion that they are irresistible to each other then be my guess to be each other. Maybe this thing could actually work out but I think it would be a good idea to get counseling and resolve what went on in that limo on that night.
