End of the year reflection
I've learned a lot of things at Parkway some good and some bad but overall this was a crazy experience. I've learned not to be so trusting to other people and to be careful of what you say to people. I also learned that being in a one-floor school could be very different than being a t big school. You now everybody and you see them everyday no new people to get to know and that can be very boring. Those where the bad things I learned and the good thing I learned was that once you get to high school studying is not a choice anymore you really have to work hard and study to pass. In many of my classes I thought that I could get through with flying colors but they were very challenging. But sometime that’s one teacher can just be very bias and unfair that you have a bad grade in a class you never got lower than an A and nobody wants to o anything about. We have to take charge and tell them what we want no just complain about because nothing will happen like this school year. I learned to less trusting, better behavior because it can help you in a good way and trying. Some classes I have slacked in when I could have done better but I thought that I could get away with it but I really didn't. But overall it has been a good experience here and I has taught me a lot o f new things about high school what I can do in the future. Parkway has allowed me to inter programs where it preps me for college and we also get to have fun and that program is upward bound so Parkway wasn’t all bad it had some good things.

Cannible in Mami
Ruby Eugene was shot and killed in Miami after eating a man's face off
according to cbs news and surveillance. Ruby Eugene
was cruising around the causeway when he strip naked tossing his clothes in the
street the going over to a homeless man by the name poppo and he ripped his
clothes off and proceeded to eat 75% of his face. When the cops got there asked
him to step away from the body so they had could free the man but he continued
to rip at his face. The cops shot him until he was dead and immediately got him
to the hospital when they did surgery on his face but he is still alive.
They still don’t what caused Eugene to eat the mans face off but they think
that he might have been on a drug called bath salts which can destroy your
brain. They later learned that he wasn’t homeless and he spent hours on they
beach with the paraders and later resorted to his care where he found that it
had broken down. They found a Koran and water bottles, which signaled dehydration,
which can be from ecstasy. When I first saw this report I was like this can’t
be true but I saw the pictures of Poppo’s face I was so disgusted. I wondering
what has this world come to zombies are real now this was crazy story. But if
he really was on that drug LSD I think they should make it illegal no because
of these type of things.

This I believe
On this I believe podcast a lady talks about how she
recently lost her husband and after she came from the funeral and found his
shirt in the shed and it brought back so many memories. She remembered how he
picked the last of the green beans and took the kids to pick apples and he had
to remove it from a hots day labor. He had a heart condition that could be
controlled by medicine and he would be able to live to be an old man. It was
the last time she saw him lay on the grass and take in the fresh air as he was
rested from a hard day. She contiune smelled he shirt to remind her of his
scent and one her got as got out the trampled his shirt causing the smell to disappear.
She heard from one of her friends they she loved her husband and it made her
think that when there has to be a time when you love him past tense that hurt her and left her stunned. She
believes that as long as she is here and the memory of lasts she still has
present love she believes that love is stronger that death. In a way I believe
that to when my grandfather died it was a very hard death for me I remember some much of him and I still to day
love him. So many things bring back
memories and and that happy days we had and that peace that he lived a good
life.

Career Day at Parkway West
We had career day at Parkway and different people came to
our class room to explain their jobs and each person had different fields they
worked in. The first person to come was Ms. Singleton she was an attorney at a
law firm and she explained her background on how she got there. She graduated
from Overbrook high school and continues in higher education at Hanuman University
and majored in Nursing for 2 yrs but didn't like that field so she moved on to
go Rucker university and was ba graduate. She later went to law school for 3yrs
and pursued her career in law she became an attorney and she works a lot in mediation.
The next person that came in was a commercial banker and he talked about
his field and how the banks charges interest and there fees and how his
jobs works. The last person that came in was Mr. Hanible he owns his own tax
business he started it in 1992 and has it 20 year anniversary. He dropped out of
11th grade to take care of his nephews and as he got older one of the people he
knows from his church had gotten his taxes done and he wanted him to check it
to make sure that he was cheated out of his money. So after that he liked
helping him out so he started a little side business during the tax season to
help people but he had gotten hired by a Delaware group he didn’t want them to
fire him from the job for having another job. He later was hired at vanguard
and was getting paid close 10 85,000 dollars he worked there for awhile then he
wanted to finally start that business adding a printing shop for non tax
season. I think this was a good experience for us we got a lot of information
on unique fields and insight on things we could do in the future.

Afghan girls embracing school
An article found in ny times that is about how girls in Afghanistan are being terrorized for going to school by a group of motorcycled men. The story starts off with a girl who was asked was she going to school by a man on a motorcycle and when she answered yes he sprayed acid on her face causing her to have a massive burn on her face and blurred vision. The man is only been against girls who go to school and there have been 14 other people who have attacked this attack. The police think that this group of men is from the Taliban leaders are terrorizing girls who go to school. The girls started to stop going to school, which was giving them what they wanted. So Mahmood Qadari called the girls parents to a meeting saying that they have to go to school just because people want them no to doesn't mean to give in but to show them that we are strong and we can fight this. So the girls have been slowly showing up to school more and more each day even thought they know that they might be attacked by those men but they still need there educations. I think that this is just horrible to do to those girls men that country can be so cruel to the women they need an education too. They still feel as thought though they are still more superior but now they have people who care and will represent them. They can continue to be strong in they education and there life they don’t have to be trapped by there won people.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Finally engaged
They have finally made a real commitment other than just having a boyfriend and girlfriend relationship according to philly.com he even designed the engagement ring. There relationship first started to stir up when they shot there first movie together called Mr. &Mrs. Smith. They began seeing each other prior to him being married to Jennifer Aniston he later got a divorce in the year of 2005. From there the Brangelina relationship started with her first adoptions and later had twins of there own. We all wanted to know if they were going to get married but we had our doubts from brad saying things like this " we won't get married and get married until the gays have equal rights" so are thinking that night take years the just comfortable with a noncommited relationship no strings attached except for those kids. I think that brad old age has finally kicked in and he is like im with these women for seven years with seven kids were practically married man mines well tie the knot. Even tho they made it work and Jennifer moved on with her life and is in another relationship I know left a scar on her heart. But im glad they finally realized that Yolo is the motto and that they need to make these vows cause that just wasted 7 year in an uncommitted relationship adopting and having kids that a bad example to people who look up to but I wish there marriage the best
Nicki Minaj Pink Friday Roman Reloaded
Nicki Minaj has released her sophomore album was released April 3, 2012 and it has reached no.1 on billboard top 200. Her album the first week had sold 253,000 copies the first week beating Adele album 21 selling 100,000 her first album. Her first album had sold alot for her first debut album Pink Friday which had gotten no.2 on billboard because of heavy competition during his sells. This album is very different with different type’s genre which is different from her first album Pink Friday. She is the first female rapper to reach no.1 the first week of her second album. This album is very diverse and on many interview she said that this album is freer that her first that she doesn't feel so restricted and now she just doesn't care anymore. Personally I think that this album is very diverse and it has different it has dance tracks, love tracks, her original rapping which gives you more variety. I like her dance records because they are very different and not so serious and they are very catchy like automatic it makes you want to dance and it gives you a happy feeling but another she has on there beez in the trap which makes you feel like you have the power and you that chick. This album is very unique and it is a step up from her first album and I definitely think that she is going to become a very important person to the hip hop society.
